
Jack Roberts is the lead investigator and owner of Global Investigations Ltd. London-based and proud Welshman born in the 1970s, Jack has spent more than three decades at the forefront of professional investigation in the UK and internationally.
Jack began his career in the tracing industry at the age of 20 in South West London, initially working at Corporate Investigations in Molesey before moving to Chase 3c Investigations in Richmond. He quickly gained a reputation for exceptional diligence and an ability to trace individuals others could not, establishing himself early on as a standout investigator in people tracing.
In 1992, Jack founded Global Investigations, which became a limited company in 1994. Originally established as a specialist people tracing agency, the firm has grown steadily and is now widely recognised within both the investigative industry and the media. Today, Global Investigations operates across a range of investigative disciplines, supported by in-house specialists and trusted international partners.
Jack trained extensively in mobile, rural, foot, and static surveillance under the legendary Peter Jenkins in the north of England. He has also undertaken advanced Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures (TSCM) training in both the UK and the United States with REI Electronics, alongside advanced OSINT training across the UK and mainland Europe.

In 2019, the UK’s bestselling crime author Peter James included Jack Roberts in his novel ‘Dead at First Sight’. Drawing on Jack’s real-world experience, James consulted Jack on the portrayal of online romance scams and investigative realism. The collaboration continued in 2024, when ‘Jack’ again appeared in James’ novel ‘They Thought I Was Dead’.
Jack has been a member of the Association of British Investigators (ABI) and the Institute of Professional Investigators (IPI) for over 30 years. He holds the designation of MIPI, confirming his status as a qualified and registered private investigator. He is also a member of the World Association of Detectives (WAD), alongside numerous other professional bodies.
Jack holds a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate through the ABI and is recommended by the Law Society of England and Wales.
